It is characterized by the iconic geometric motif in emerald green created by architect and Designer Gio Ponti, Artistic Director of the Manifattura from 1923 to 1933. The classic Impero shape defines the contours and is illuminated with exquisite platinum threading. The handle features distinctive relief work on fine white porcelain. Also available in other decorations, it completes the service alongside the sugar bowl and teapot from the same line, which also pairs beautifully in contrast with the precise geometric patterns of Catene.
